HALLOWEEN AT AVDTags

From your first scan to everyday peace of mind: set up your pet, manage their tags, choose your email preferences and find help when you need it.
Your tag takes you straight to the right place.
Hold your phone near the NFC tag, or scan its QR code with your camera. Open the link in your browser. No app is needed.
If the tag is not registered, choose Create account & set up tag or Log in. For a new email account, open the verification email and confirm the password you chose. The link expires after 1 hour; you can request another email if needed. Your scanned tag is remembered automatically, even when you verify in another browser. Google and Apple sign-in use the provider’s verified email. If you are already signed in, choose Continue & set up my tag.
If you already have pets, choose Add to an existing pet and select one, or choose Create a new pet. With no pets yet, the creation form opens for your first pet.
Only the pet’s name is required. The scanned tag is selected for you.
Give your pet a name. You do not need to find or type a tag ID.
Add a photo or choose an icon. Use Crop & adjust to position and zoom the photo. Breed, date of birth and extra notes are optional, and can be added later.
Save the profile, then scan the physical tag again. Check that it opens the right pet. To start from My Pets, use the large plus card and follow the scan instructions.
One pet profile can have more than one tag.
On the pet card in My Pets, use the pencil button to change the name, photo, breed, birthday or notes. Save your changes.
The Tags section uses the design and size, such as Heart (XS). Older tags without a recorded design may have a generic name. Customers do not need to manage tag IDs.
Select a tag in Edit Pet Profile and choose Delete tag. If it was the primary tag, another tag on that pet becomes primary automatically.
Pet visibility and owner contact details have different rules.
Your owner name, phone number, email and address are hidden on the public profile. There is no option to show owner contact details while safe.
Use the lock button on the pet card to choose which pet information visitors can see while the pet is safe. These settings do not make owner contacts public.
Marking the pet as Lost makes saved owner contact details visible to help with recovery. Check that your contact details are correct in Owner Details. Mark the pet Safe again when they are home.
Mark your pet as lost, share an alert and keep your contact details ready.
In My Pets, find the missing pet and choose Mark as Lost. Their public profile can then show your saved owner contact details.
The poster window opens after marking the pet as lost. Your pet’s photo and information are included. Last seen location and time, reward, contact details and extra notes are optional. Only contact details you select appear on the poster.
Share the generated alert where supported, save the image, or download the ink-friendly PDF to print. The poster does not include your tag ID or private profile link.
Choose Mark as Safe. Owner contacts are hidden again. Dismiss any found-pet alerts you no longer need.
A finder can notify you through the public profile without creating an account.
You receive a website alert. If you opted in to found-pet emails, you also receive an email. If your pet is missing, open the alert and mark them Lost to show your saved contacts.
The finder sees a confirmation asking them to check the profile again shortly. If your pet is missing, mark them as Lost in My Pets to share your saved contact details. Direct finder messaging is currently unavailable.
Report an unexpected alert or dismiss a notification you no longer need. Any previously saved messages remain available as read-only history.
Found-pet alerts and tag-check reminders are separate choices.
In My Pets → Owner Details, tick Email me found-pet alerts and save. This covers notifications when someone opens your pet’s tag and presses “I’ve Found This Pet”. It does not make your email public while your pet is safe.
In Profile / Settings → Tag-check reminders, turn reminders on or off. That switch saves automatically. The same choice is available in Owner Details, where you must save settings. Reminders are off by default; the first is due six months after opting in.
Use the profile switch or the unsubscribe link in a reminder email. Unsubscribing from tag-check reminders does not turn off urgent found-pet emails. Mobile/SMS found-pet notifications are marked Coming soon in Owner Details.
